The Vietnam War: Confrontation Between The Soviet Union And The United States

The Cold War is a global political, economical and ideological confrontation between the Soviet Union and the US, which lasted from 1945 to 1980. Centralized and autocratically governmented Russia contrasted with the democratic United States which wanted to share with the rest of the world its liberty and equality conception. Since both parties were eager to avoid open conflict, the war was conducted with the help of economic competition, political and military threats, intelligence and subversions.
The U.S. aimed to restore the independence of countries in Central and Eastern Europe since a rapid stabilization of the situation in the war devastated areas could reasured the U.S. that its investments would be repaid. The Communims was umwelcomed, as it would lead to the formation of a closed economic system of the Soviet model. Moreover, America launched trade without tariffs and quotas to develop new markets abroad to promote economic growth.
North Vietnam wanted to make the whole country pro-Communist in contradiction to the South, which was eager to stay aligned with the U.S.
Not only it separeted the two countries but also led to the development of mass destruction weapons. And likewise any Cold War, it did not bring neither peace nor honor those who unleashed it. In my opinion, it was avoidable if these two countries trusted each other and at least tried to understand one another style of life and
