After several years, Ted purchased an Observation tower, where he would spend hours of his time writing children’s stories. One day, he was requested by book publishers to create a 220 word book that include “new words” for children. this book came out to be, The Cat In The Hat, which was published in 1957. This book was translated into more than fifteen languages. Therefore, the whole world basically knew who Dr. Seuss was. This was a major accomplishment Theodor had.
Dr. Seuss wrote more than sixty books over his career. Some of his most famous books are, The Cat In The Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Oh, the Places You’ll Go! As a result, he received several awards. Including two Academy Awards, two Emmy awards, a Peabody award and one Pulitzer Prize. He is one successful author that brought upon many stories.
Theodor Seuss Geisel has brought on many awards and accomplishments. Even though his life was rough, considering his first wife passed away, he still managed to bring on his talent into creating a numerous amount of children’s books and they are only becoming more and more popular over the years, being introduced to more and more children each year. Each of Dr. Seuss’ story informs a different message and lesson that kids learn. Overall, Theodor Seuss Geisel was an outstanding children’s book author that even kids today still read his
