Theodore Roosevelt: “In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.” Everyday, we are faced with situations that recquire us to make decisions. Large or small, these decisions can have a great effect on our life—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Many choices we make in our daily life may be considered routine or unimportant. Each day, for example, we go through the process of choosing the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the people we see, and so on. We make this choices almost automatically, with little thought. But are these really not important? No, regardless of how big or small a decision is, it always reflects us as a person.

Becoming “wise in our own eyes” means that we should avoid relying on ourselves in determining right and wrong. Many people today often says “just listen to your heart”, or “do what you feel is right, “ which is wrong because the heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. That is why we shouldn’t always rely on our feelings or emotions especially when it come to decision making.
