A man named Brooks Adams wrote a book called Civilization and Decaying in the year 1896. In the book he talks about the rise and fall of many civilizations throughout history. In it he also says that he believes that in order to better the country the executive branch should be strengthened. Theodore Roosevelt read the book and agreed with what he read in the book. Theodore Roosevelt went on to later become the president of the United States and he applied these ideals into what he did. the reason that they have the power and opportunity to do this is because of the modern presidency model for governing the nation. The modern presidency model started by Theodore Roosevelt greatly impacted the United States, it allowed them do more and as a result better the country. Ronald Reagan’s decision to deliver his speech despite the negative feedback of his advisors had greatly beneficial effects for the whole world. Because of him the world got rid of an international bully that had nothing but negative impacts on the world. Any future president can take this example of an executive decision and learn to be strain with there opinion and they will be a great modern
