Thesis on Sea Oats
The following thesis is about the Plant named Uniola Paniculata, which is commonly known as sea oats, which help in the stabilizing of the sand dunes. But the production of this plant has decreased and the demand for the dune restoration is growing and but the production of these plants has decreased main because the disappearance of the natural strands. There are some other reasons such as poor seed production and low seed survival. So a study is conducted on this plant to produce large amount of plans in in the rapid scale such that the demands are met. The Author has conducted the test by collecting the sea oats plans from six regions namely Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Texas. They used the process of the reproduction of the called Somatic embryogenesis and Cotyledonary nodal culture. This experiment was successful in production of the Sea oats plants in very large scale.
Thesis on Plant Perekia Bleo Kunth
This thesis is about a kind of a leafy cactus plant (Pereskia Bleo Kunth) belonging to Cactaceace family and its use in the medical practice of preventing or treating the cancer by using the leafs of this plant. So in order to prove the anti-cancer activity of the plant the author has produced the plant by using stable tissue culture method by process known as micro propagation. Then he started with lethality test he first did a test know as Brine shrimp lethality test to show if that plant is lethal but the test has proven that that plant has no lethal effects. Then next author has proceeded to prove the anti-cancer activity of the compounds in the plant, so he extracted the chemical compounds in the plant by using Petroleum ether, chloroform and methanol left extracts it gave a compounds named MCF-7 and HL-60 which are tested against cancer cells, then MCF_7 has proven to destroy Human hormone dependent breast cancer cell
