In his book, “Think Christianly,” Jonathan Morrow states, “Every person filters the information that enters their minds and their daily experiences through their worldview. They then make sense of this information in their experiences based on their worldview.” The church must come to understand the worldview and the perceptions of this generation if it wants to have real answers for this generation. This is why being an authentic leader is vital to the Christian faith in today’s society.
After conducting two interviews on two different ministers in different seasons of their lives, I found that their answers helped show how authentic leadership is feasible in today’s society. First and foremost to be authentic spiritual disciplines must be evident in one’s life. If leaders desire to be successful in ministry and do not follow a plan to remain close to God through prayer, meditation and the Word, one will not be successful. As Dr. Foster pointed out in the interview, we choose if we want to succeed or set ourselves up for failure. We must prepare ourselves daily we are an open door for the enemy to come into our lives if we are not prepared spiritually.

There are some areas that I believe I am stronger in and know there are some that I am weak in and need to work on. I am introverted by nature so my witness to the world section was the lowest. I enjoy being with other believers and understand that my relationship with God is very important so those areas are higher in my assessment.
