This paper explores the principles and Christian values of Truett Cathy, and the positive effects on the Chick-fil-a organizations. At the time of his death, there were more than 1,800 Chick-fil-A restaurants in 40 states and Washington, D.C. Cathy’s approach was largely driven by personal satisfaction and a sense of obligation to the community and its young people. Chick-fil-A franchises are closed on Sundays. Cathy opened his first restaurant on a Tuesday, and found that, by Sunday, he was “just worn out.” He noted that, like himself, many of his customers preferred to observe the Christian Sabbath and, in their case, not eat out on Sundays, so his restaurants have been closed on Sundays ever since. This paper examines the relationship between Truett Cathy and how the Christian values within a workplace can positively influence the culture of the organization and also contribute to its success.

Scholars claim the spiritual leadership theory achieves three critical issues; identifying and incorporating a universal values consensus, provides a process to achieve congruence across all levels, and predicts that authentic leaders will be ethically well then they incorporate spirituality. Christians as part of their spirituality journey, are struggling with applying their faith at work. With the recognition of spirituality in the workplace companies are accelerating their acceptance and implementation of spiritual components to the
