Unalienable rights are something a person gets to have with them forever. It is a gift from the creator themselves that allows individuals to have control over and help determine the justice or peace of the situation. According to the text it states “He has obstructed the administration of justice by refusing his assent to laws for establishing judiciary powers” (Jefferson 12). This quote expresses one of the abuses the king has caused with his power. Without his assent, or approval, the people did not have justice or the equality they need and majority of situations were most likely unfair. Before the people actually fully recognize their rights, the king would abuse his powers and not hear what the people have to say. The text also states “They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity.” (Jefferson 13). People unalienable rights hold much more power than a person would think. The government cannot abolish take over these rights in any type of way. In the text it states “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object… it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and provide new guards for their future security” (Jefferson 11). This quote expresses the rights people have over their protection. If their protection seems to be in danger by the government, they have the right to get rid of them. The text also states, “He has refused for a long time after such dissolutions to cause others to be elected, whereby the legislative powers, incapable of annihilation… the state remaining in the meantime exposed to all the danger of invasion from without, and convulsions within” (Jefferson 11). This quote expresses how the king back then did not care for the people’s safety and how he refused to have any type of protection for them.
