Even though the people are safe in the wall, they cannot stay there forever. Their resources will eventually run out. Their people will begin to overpopulate the city. Also, they don’t want to stay in the walls forever. That was the original purpose of the Survey Corps, to see the outside world beyond the wall. Now, they are also the main researchers, and killers of titans. Masses of soldiers die when they travel; even with humanity’s other champion Captain Levi, who is said to be as strong as a brigade of soldiers. Humanity can only keep their high for so long, especially now that their second wall has been compromised. What will stop the titans from overcoming the last wall?
God created the world for man explore and enjoy. We were not meant to live in a walled city where we can never escape because some monster might eat us. We would be slaves. Eren and his friend Armin understood that. So when Eren transforms and things start off wrong with him attacking his friends, Armin just reminds Eren of this fact. He carried the rock and plugged the hole. Grendel has a difficult time trying to find his place in his own world, and this is made even more difficult by watching the brute, unthinking creatures who seemed to live and breathe without one iota of angst. Towards the end of the novel every piece of mechanical imagery comes together when the goat arrives. Even as it is injured, bleeding, and dying, the goat keeps climbing forward. Unlike the ram, which frustrates Grendel, and the bull, which amuses him, the goat haunts him with its mindless persistence. As the goat keeps climbing toward its imminent death, it also foreshadows Grendel’s upcoming death. While Grendel scorns the stupidity of nature, the novel also asks us to consider whether Grendel, who goes willingly to Beowulf, though…

Psychology is the study of or science of how individuals and groups behave and their mental processes. Characteristics of these behaviors and mental processes are portrayed in many different ways within the movies that we create. Within the movie, Remember the Titans, many social psychology concepts are present. Remember the Titans is a movie set in Virginia 1971, its about a high school football team and how they come together in order to try and win the state championship. Unfortunately it is not that simple, this is a high school that has just been forced to integrate in a time of racial segregation, in a town where football is everything and is most of the boys’ ticket out of town and onto college. The three concepts that are evident in the movie are foot-in-the-door phenomenon, groupthink, and ingroup bias and outgroup.…

    Ares: The God of War

Greek mythology is one of the greatest creations created of all times. It is filled with vivid and descriptive stories about the Greek gods and heroes that were part of their religion in that time. Greeks worshipped each of these gods and heroes, also creating different temples in various cities. As a result, many of these gods still have enormous influences on how our world works today. One of those gods, the Greek god of war, exemplifies many qualities which many people expect from him, although strongly disliked by most. The Greek God of war, Ares, is the son of Zeus and Hera (Van Aken 18), and has had difficulties living in the world of the Greeks, whilst many different views have been given of him. For example, in early Greek vases, Ares was depicted as an old and seasoned warrior with a shield and a helmet, but in later vases, he was seen as more youthful and less warlike (Van Aken 18). Ares, as the god of war, has an emblem of a wild boar and a bloodstained spear. These are supposed to represent his strength and ruthless urge to fight (Graves 9). However, Ares is also sometimes associated with vultures and dogs. He delights in the pure destruction of war, and enjoys seeing people suffer (Van Aken 18). The true testament of his cruelty however lies within how his throne has been made. Custom built, his throne that sits opposite to Aphrodite is built of brass, strong and ugly, while the huge brass knobs on the edges are in the shape of skulls, finally covered with human skin (Graves 8-9)! In this way, many people have detested him for his disturbing nature and his way of fighting (Van Aken 18), however, there are also a few people that liked him for one reason or the other (Osborn 86).…
