"Some see things as they are and say why?”, but we women, see things that never were and say, “Why not”.
Honorable members of our board of adjudicators, esteemed fellow orators, schoolmates and friends…allow me to humbly bring to you my personal greetings and the greetings of my fellow students in our department.
We live, in an age where women have gained access, freedom to explore a wide range of interest and life styles more than they ever could in the past. Freedom to enter the man’s work force, freedom to hold bank accounts and get mortgages and loans.
Today the idea of having a good job and career makes women struggle for their great wishes in life that is why the women of today are more assertive and demanding than they used to be and there are many women today who are just as good if not better than their male counterparts. Moreover, some of the most influential people in society are women: Eleanor Roosevelt, Queen Elizabeth, Jane Adams, Marie Curie, Hellen Keller, and even Oprah Winfrey
Over decades it was men that filled the high profiled vacancies while women had to fill the low ounces and very often if the high profile vacancies were filled, was compensated with a less remuneration. We were born for a time such as this when the women will take their rightful position in the working place and will be part of the leaders of tomorrow. Do not allow negative word or actions determine your thinking process and ultimately cloud your vision for what God intends you to be and have in life.
The role of women has become significant and has started getting recognition. We see that women are moving shoulder to shoulder with men and coming forward and progressing in all key areas and fields.
We are living in an age where women are rising to their feet and demand to be empowered. For far to long women in general were classified as the weaker sex and considered to be bare feet in the winter and pregnant in
