Tooth-Colored Fillings Case Study
At Sunrise Dental’s four Triangle-area locations, we are proud to offer an alternative to traditional silver fillings — tooth-colored fillings. Unlike silver and amalgam fillings, tooth-colored fillings are inconspicuous and practically undetectable. An added advantage? Tooth-colored fillings are stronger because they are directly bonded to the teeth. Let’s talk about why you might need a filling and the benefits of our metal-free material.

Why Might I Need A Filling?

Dental fillings are used to repair small areas of damage on the teeth, called cavities. These cavities can be tiny (invisible to the naked eye), or they can grow into larger, more noticeable areas of decay. To prevent a large-scale decay problem, we work hard to catch all cavities as soon as possible, when they are small and easily fixed with a filling (but we have solutions for larger areas of damage, too). We use a specialized cavity detector to locate even the smallest cavities. We can help you make sure your teeth are as strong and healthy as possible.

With proper care, these fillings can even last a lifetime! Plus, they are made to fit so naturally and comfortably that you won’t even notice that they are there. If you are looking for a strong, beautiful alternative to the old metal fillings of the past, we have the solution for

Dental implants are the best restorative treatment for missing teeth because they are a long term solution. According to Dr. Guy M. Lewis in his article he states, “When properly maintained with adequate brushing and flossing, the implant itself can last a lifetime” (“Love That Smile” par. 3). Implants are used to replace one or extra missing teeth, and if they are taken care of the right way, they are guaranteed to last a lifetime. If the implant is well taken care of and treated as if it was a real tooth, it will be in the best condition possible and last the patient a lifetime. The full idea of a dental implant is to look compared, feel like and act related to a real tooth. It is only right to treat the implant as if it was a real tooth…
