Categories of Tourism: 1. Ethnic- Travelling to observe the cultural expressions and lifestyle of peoples.
Typical activity: * Taking a coastal steamer to the outports of Newfoundland. 2. Cultural- Travelling to experience vanishing lifestyles that like within human memory. Includes cultural ecotourism.
Typical activity: * Lunching in the tavern at the Fortress of Louisbourg. 3. Heritage- Travelling to view places and things from the past, either natural or built by humans.
