Tourism In Bangladesh

Tourism is often synonymous to traveling for pleasure or education. It is also the business of providing tours and services for tourists. In Bangladesh it plays a vital role in the economic development and cultural diversification and assimilation.
The major tourist attractions in Bangladesh include archaeological and natural world heritage sites like Mahasthangarh, Moynamoti, Bagherhat Shat Gombuj Mosque, Paharpur, Lalbag Fort, Kantaji Temple, Cox’s Bazaar, Sundarban, Saint martin’s island, Rangamati, Khagrachari, Bandarban and so on. Among them Cox’s Bazaar and Sundarban have got world wide popularity.
Every year tourists from both home and abroad visit these places with great curiosity. Bangladesh provides various opportunities for these tourists. They can enjoy angling, water skiing, river cruising, hiking, rowing, yachting, sea bathing, shopping and delicious local foods.
Tourism is a sector with great possibilities. The government of Bangladesh can earn a huge amount of revenue from this sector which can help Bangladesh to establish a healthy economic condition. It can also eliminate the unemployment problem of Bangladesh and help to create a better image in the world.
Though tourism and economic development goes hand in hand it’s not developing in our country because of some problems like lack of cleanliness and security, lack of transportation and accommodation facilities, lack of proper government attention and so on. However, we hope that if the related authority takes necessary steps to reduce these problems our country will be able to attract more tourists and eventually it will attain higher dimension in the eyes of the world and it will surely attain its strongest place in all the tourism based countries.
