A. Context
Bantayan Island is an island situated in the northern end of Cebu Island. The island is divided into three municipalities: Bantayan, Madridejos and Santa Fe. Bantayan is the largest municipality. Madridejos covers the northern part while Santa Fe covers the eastern part. Some say that the island is similar to the Boracay Island because of its clear blue water and its white sand. However, the main difference is that Bantayan is quiet and less populated unlike Boracay. The island tries to stray away from being too commercialized as it destroys the essence of relaxation and being in one with nature.
The reason why we decided to focus on the Bantayan Island is because large improvements can be made.
B. Potential
Arrival: The arrival of the island’s guests is the moment the boat docks onto the port. This is because this is the start of the guest’s experience of the Bantayan Island.

After watching the film, Shackleton’s Antarctic Adventure, it felt as if I just watched a film based on a fiction novel. To watch the continuous efforts of one man putting everything he had into keeping his men safe, healthy, and alive was almost implausible. Earnest Shackleton’s accomplishments, especially during the time he did it, will stand the test of time. It was his tremendous leadership skills which aided him with the success of not only reaching safety, but keeping 27 men content enough to continue to want to follow him.…

Ancient China’s Impact on The World The ocean, the desert, extremely tall mountains and very high platoons, all of these geographical barriers made it virtually impossible to get well into the thriving civilisation of Ancient China. Ancient China was a very lonely civilisation being so far away from any other major civilisations and having so many barriers protecting them from the outside world. While no other people came to Ancient China, it learnt many new things without anyone else to help them, but today in this modern time, how has the contribution of this ancient civilisation affected the world even today. Founded after the discovery of Prince Liu Sheng’s tomb (who died around 200 BC) the 2,300-year-old invention called acupuncture is…

In “A Perfect Day for a Bananafish” by J.D. Salinger, the main character, Seymour, presents himself as a small, insecure child. Seymour’s participation in World War II permanently altered his ability to interact with civilized society. His peers, such as Muriel and his mother in law, contemplate that he is crazy, or mentally ill. As a result, he has no sense of how to live or relate to these people surrounding him. Seymour only finds relaxation through the connection with innocent children similar to Sybil. The pent up emotions of continuously feeling judged by his peers, causes Seymour to take his own life, thinking this is the only way to relieve his stress. The tragic experiences Seymour endures during World War II have left him feeling isolated and incapable of relating to those around him. It is clear that one can only survive through communicating and obtaining moral support from their family and friends, a central theme of J.D. Salinger's Nine Stories.…

    Terumbu Karang

The story opens with a clear image of the unnamed narrator’s fragile mind set, proving his mental disease. The narrator admits to being: “dreadfully nervous” though addressing the reader boldly in his defence through the usage of rhetorical questions: “but why will you think I am mind?” Subsequently, Poe’s elements of tension plunges the readers into the middle of the narrator’s unstable mindset. The narrator’s fragile mind set is proven through the usage of hyphens in the opening sentence in order to create a sense of confession as well as to emphasise the unnamed narrator’s devious fractured mind, and is shown in the following quotation: “True!- nervous- very, very dreadfully nervous.” Linking back to madness and obvious paranoia. The narrator is shown to be speaking to himself and ranting over an unknown justification of a ‘dreadful’ act, to create a sense of confession as aforementioned. This point links back to the title of the story: “The Tell Tale Heart” which immediately points the readers towards the subject of confession, as your heart is supposed to free yourself of all sins through confession, furthermore personifying the heart. Tension is built through the story through the on-going contradictions occurring inside the narrator’s fractured mindset, arguing against the reader regarding his obvious paranoia. It is proven clearly that he is mad, however he contradicts such information, and modern society has acknowledged the fact that when a person loses such sanity, they do not believe themselves to have committed such a deed. His sanity does compose as the story progresses, however becomes motionless by the time the old man has been murdered. However again, confession is the consequence of committing such crimes, and collapses under his own thoughts and paranoia towards the end of the story, as the quotation shows: “They were making a mockery of my horror!” summarising this entire analysis by the ending paragraph: “’Villains!’ I shrieked, ‘dissemble no…

"How to get there?" is the question often asked. Good question, I will answer with a cheap version or backpacker as I did with my friends. The most popular liaison city to reach this place is Malang. There is a daily train to reach Malang from Yogyakarta with various class; executive, business, or economy, especially for economy class must depart from Solo but don’t worry, from "Lempuyangan" train station in Yogyakarta we can take a train "Prambanan Express" to the "Jebres" train station in Solo because from there we can take a train "Mataremaja" that led to Malang, and for a ticket prices about 30,000 rupiahs. After arriving at "Kota Lama" train station in Malang, from there we headed to the "Arjosari" bus station by using public transportation (angkot) or you can ask the officer in the train station about that, and the cost around 3000 rupiahs. From the "Arjosari" bus station we can use…

Debaters frequently fail to cross-examine effectively. Often, debaters ignore the role of cross-examination and use it simply as more preparation time while their teammate engages in an unproductive discussion with an opponent. However, cross-examination can be a powerful tool, not only a means to demonstrate a debater’s ability to think critically and on the spot, but also an aid for a team’s refutation and argumentation techniques. This article discusses the goals of cross-examination and effective cross-examination techniques. Beginning debaters can be afraid of cross-examination periods. Oftentimes, this is because they misperceive them as impromptu discussions. This is incorrect: cross-examination is just as much an impromptu process as it is prepared. There are two distinctive groups of debaters who often perform two opposite mistakes. One group does not prepare for cross-examinations at all—when debates start, they end up using all their preparation time to prepare for a cross-examination. This is not an effective strategy: these debaters worry intensely about the quality of the questions they prepare, and fail to pay attention to their opponents’ arguments while preparing them. Guided by their fear of the impromptu, such debaters present weaker arguments and weaker refutations; they come up short as attentive listeners and active questioners. As a judge, I have witnessed many debates where debaters could not refute their opponents’ arguments because they did not understand them, though, had they paid attention, things would have been clear. The other group of debaters relies excessively on precautionary strategies and prepares all their questions in advance. Then, equally stressed, they read out their pre-prepared questions even when these do not address the arguments presented by the debaters of the opposing team. Debaters in both groups need to realize that cross-examination has both prepared…
