Traffic law enforcement remains one of Philippines biggest problem in this day and age. Traffic rules and regulations are very important to enable the safety and convenience of individual and to prevent damages and casualties among individuals. Road users usually experienced poor implementation of traffic rules and regulations by traffic enforcers who maybe lack of knowledge about traffic management. The hard work of city officials and public agencies concerned with traffic management provides the abrupt answer to motorists who suffer from different kinds of traffic related inconveniences. Corrupt and unknowledgeable traffic enforcers are not the only root cause of traffic congestions but also those disobedient drivers, pedestrians and other who use public roads.
Vehicles often come into conflict with other vehicles and pedestrians because their intended courses of travel intersect, and thus interfere with each other's routes.
Signs, signals, markings and other features are often used to make priority precise. Some signs, such as the stop sign, are nearly universal. When there are no signs or markings, different rules are observed depending on the location. These default priority rules differ between countries, and may even vary within countries. Trends toward uniformity are exemplified at an international level by the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, which prescribes standardized traffic control devices for establishing the right of way where necessary.
Crosswalks or pedestrian crossings are common in populated areas, and may indicate that pedestrians have priority over vehicular traffic. In most modern cities, the traffic signal is used to establish the right of way on the busy roads. Its primary purpose is to give each road a duration of time in which its traffic may use the intersection in an organized way. The intervals of time assigned for each road may be adjusted to take into account factors such as difference in volume of traffic, the needs of pedestrians, or other traffic signals. Uncontrolled traffic comes in the absence of lane markings and traffic control signals. On roads without marked lanes, drivers tend to keep to the appropriate side if the road is wide enough. Drivers frequently overtake others. Obstructions are common.
Intersections have no signals or signage, and a particular road at a busy intersection may be dominant – that is, its traffic flows – until a break in traffic, at which time the dominance shifts to the other road where vehicles are queued. At the intersection of two perpendicular roads, a traffic jam may result if four vehicles face each other side-on.
Safety and efficiency to travel is the only mindset of a driver when he/she travels but this remains inaccessible in many part of our country especially in Metro Manila. This remains a challenge to those who are involved in traffic control and management.

4. What are the benefits of the implementation of traffic rules along 10th ave. A. Mabini to Rizal ave. Via LRT?
ASSUMPTION: For more comprehensive analysis, the root cause of traffic congestion was the illegal terminal of public utility vehicles, illegal pick up of passengers, counter flow of vehicles, illegal parking, illegal sidewalk vendors, jaywalk and colorum vehicles.
The researcher assumed the following: 1. It is because of lack of discipline between the motorists and among the sidewalk vendors as well as the public that they cause traffic congestion. 2. Lack of knowledge about the traffic laws and regulation. 3. The vendors that occupied the sidewalk space blocking the way of the public and also those drivers that load and unload at the places they wanted. 4. The possible solutions of worsening traffic condition are a relocation of public market and educating traffic enforcers as well as the public about the laws and regulations that had been implemented. 5. Making foot bridges or overpass so that the public will not disturb the flow of vehicles.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY: The importance of this study is to find out the root problem regarding the aggravating traffic condition, know the existing or implemented traffic laws as well as the traffic violations done by the motorists and also to know the immediate possible solutions of the worsening traffic circumstances.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION: This study is focused to the analysis of traffic rules implemented by traffic enforcers along 10th ave. A. Mabini to Rizal ave. Via LRT. Interchanges are essential to freeway operation. They control access and handle the movement of traffic between roadways. Unfortunately, interchanges are inferior in design to the freeways and contribute to collisions. Interchanges cause collisions because of the likelihood of increased speed differentials between the freeway mainlines, ramp junctions, and ramps. Interchanges can also be attributed to accidents because vehicles need to change lanes in a limited area in and around interchanges in order to merge and diverge. Often, more than one lane change can occur in a very short time.…

The relationship between people and traffic is down to how people behave on the roads they use and how they deal with the rules associated with this, as well as accepting that others need to use the same space whether this is at the same time or separately. Traffic is viewed in Buchanan's report as an agent because it has an active role in shaping the way people live, how space is designed and how people interact with each other and with their environment. As the population increases yearly, it also shows an increase of many different vehicles being in use, this being another major reasons behind traffic congestion. Over populated roads and highways during morning rush hour, causes many delays for people trying to get to work, meeting, school and etc. A Torontonian spends a minimum of four to five hours of their time weekly stuck in traffic, due to slow movement of vehicles, 62% of the time individuals are late to work (Sewell, 2009). During, the winter seasons the numbers of hours would double, since the public would have to drive slowly due to slippery grounds. In order for the commuters to get to their destination on time they have to add an extra hour to their usual traveling time, in order to avoid any delays. As vehicles continue to make immediate stops during rush hour without being cautious of other vehicles it results to major collisions throughout the Greater Toronto Area. In total, 40% of the collisions that occurred in Greater Toronto Area in 2015, was due to over populated traffic and not being able to come to full complete immediate stop on time (Phillip, 2015). If a collision does occurs the road must be closed, causing there to be one less lane for the cars to travel on. After a major collision occur, the emergency crew are expected to be…

There are certain rules that have been prepared for the benefit of people and the idea of preparing these rules is not that they should be understood by the drivers, but it should also be understood through the cyclists, pedestrians and other people. People are recommended that they should be carefully observing all the rules and regulation and it is effectual to be careful, considerate and patient. Traffic rules of the roads are both the laws and the informal rules that may have been developed over time to facilitate the orderly and timely flow of traffic. With the replacement of ancient horse driven carts with cars and trucks, the speed of the traffic increased paving way for the need of smooth roads and yet smoother traffic. So, to curb the need of the smoother traffic, some rules were devised to assure that the traffic runs smooth. Almost all of the roadways traffic rules are built with devices meant to control traffic.…

When traffic demand is great enough that the interaction between vehicles slows the speed of the traffic stream, congestion is incurred. Nowadays traffic is becoming more and more congested as if it was not before. Plus, increased affluence and out migration from Kuala Lumpur have both contributed to the present traffic congestion problems in the City Centre. As demand approaches the capacity of a road, extreme traffic congestion sets in. When vehicles are fully stopped for periods of time, this is colloquially known as a traffic jam or traffic snarl-up. There has been congestion and a serious deterioration of travel speed on major roads in many parts of Kuala Lumpur, especially in the City Centre as well as in the east and south, due to major traffic routes operating at or above capacity during peak hours. Low vehicle occupancy has further aggravated the problem.…

During exercise 1, our group have observed the traffic conditions on Clementi Avenue 6 from AYE into the road section in the video. At the same time, we measured the number of the vehicle on the road by 5 minutes interval, four lanes and different types of vehicles. We decided a dummy line on separate lane to count the number of vehicles as well as categorize the vehicles by six types as motorcycle, car, van, bus, goods truck and truck. Through the data processing after observation, we made some tables, bar and pie graphs to demonstrate the data clearly. And we can tell the different traffic conditions among different lanes and vehicles easily from those charts. The tables contain the detailed data of the different types of vehicles that passed the dummy line within 30 minutes. The bar graphs demonstrate traffic flow of separate types of vehicles with 5-minute interval in 30 minutes. The pie graphs show the percentage of different types of vehicles within 30 minutes. The arrangement of the lane number is showed as following picture.…
