Trends Paper There are many trends in the world, but they vary from country to country. Trends have a tendency to change within time, but there is always something called popular trends those are the trends that people tend to follow. This paper will observe a few trends in the American Culture, which will include social, political, religious, and personal trends. Some trends in American culture that are considered social include Myspace.com, eHarmony.com, and yes even the popular cell phones. This special kind of trend is a great way for people to be able to socialize and keep in touch. Myspace.com is a website created for people to be able to create their own profile. This website allows people to stay in touch, meet new friends, or even find old ones. Another particular kind of website that is popular is eHarmony.com. This is a dating website that people use to find someone they are compatible with by filling out a questionnaire including a profile about oneself and characteristics which the person is looking for in the other person. Cell phones are another social trend, yet considered the most popular one of the social trends. More and more people are getting cell phones each day. It is a very fitting way to get a hold of someone no matter where they are. Also, the use of text messaging on cell phones has recently become more popular because a person can send a message to someone and they can respond at his or her convenience. It also provides a different way to communicate if something quick and short has to be said. A few which can be considered personal trends are iPods and laptops. These are a very popular items and can be very essential to people.
