The reason why Dartford experienced a massive growth is because of the locomotive, it enabled people to travel all over Britain and with later tweaking’s of the locomotive making it much quicker that Trevithick’s locomotive, people then could have travelled to other countries around Europe. On the day of 22nd of April in 1833, Richard Trevithick passed away, not only that he didn’t have any relatives beside him, but died in extreme poverty without even a penny. Due to his massive effect in Dartford, a group owned by John Hall raised money to prepare a funeral and a burial for the popular inventor. Without the invention of the locomotive, Richard Trevithick may not have received a burial at all, and also would most have likely not visited Dartford were he caused a massive change for Dartford to grow, markets opening up and future tweaking’s of the locomotive. Without the invention of the Locomotive, many vehicles that are very common today for humanity such as cars, buses and trains may not have existed because the locomotive was innovated off in the future to create machinery used in today’s transportation. Therefore it can be said that the invention of the locomotive spread quickly to other nations and inspired many other inventors. The invention also led the town of Dartford to grow rapidly as that is where it was tested.
