Triangle Trade Route - the main route for trade

Background Information Before you learn all about the three colonies trade, you are going to need to know some background information first. The definition of triangle trade according to Wikipedia is: “Triangle trade is a historical term indicating trade among three ports or regions.” (Wikipedia) The most successful items for trade during the colonial times were tobacco, flour, rice, fish, wheat, indigo and corn. Trade in the colonies was also determined by the weather, soil and other environmental factors. Farming was one of the most important jobs for trade. The natural resources in the area helped to determine what was traded and how successful people were. The three main routes in the Triangle Trade Route were partially made by the strong impact of winds and currents. The amount of Africans shipped to the colonies was estimated at 10 million.

Had good climate and soil for farming, so traded a lot of farm - related things. The reason why the climate was good for farming was because of The Middle Colonies traded the most farm - related things out of all of the colonies. Wilmington, Lancaster, York, New York City, Albany, Princeton and Trenton were the major cities in colonial trade for The Middle Colonies.
