Trip To Guatemala Essay
My missionary trip to Guatemala: eight weeks in a different country, spending my time with hundreds of other strangers from morning to night, working almost all day. I knew this was what I would be getting myself into. Eight weeks among strangers done to expose myself to the varying Health Science and Humanitarian field.
My curiosity and insatiable hunger for learning dampened my fears. I wanted to do this- to challenge myself- to take myself out of my comfort zone, and that is what I did. Eight weeks away was the longest and farthest I have ever been from home alone. This was indeed a worthwhile endeavor. My desire to consume all the knowledge I can continues to grow. There seems to be a natural inclination towards science, math, and medicine.
