The tropical rainforest biome has distinct water and nutrient cycles that provide for a wide range of vegetation and animal life. The climate is high in humidity and consists of high rainfall. A variety of plants and animals thrive in the tropical rainforest. Specifically, the Amazon is home to over half of the world’s species in plants and animals. The animals have developed a range of adaptations, one key adaptation includes camouflage, another is the beak of birds. Because of the rainforest’s many resources, humans have made an impact on the rainforests across the globe.
