Clinton stated that Trump was for the war in Iraq, even though Trump claims he wasn’t. This is a major claim that is made against Clinton by her opponents. This response was perfect for her current opponent so that his argument cannot be made stronger using this point against her.
Clinton said that she could use her experience voting for the war in Iraq to her advantage in order to avoid leading the country into another situation that’s similar. She uses her mistake to her advantage as she shows people the good she can do using the lesson she learned from her choice.
Clinton said that there is no evidence available which points to some of her emails that were sent while overseas have been hacked. This was a good response, as it brought thoughts

This is one of the debates going on about Trump, whether he will say whatever pops into his head as President or not. Showing regret is a good sign, though it can’t always amend all the consequences that come about from something. For instance,
When asked again about his plan to defeat ISIS, Trump said that he was going to ask for the General’s plan. He also said that he might combine his own plan with one of the general’s plans that he liked. Trump was given the opportunity to elaborate on his plan once again, but ended up in an even worse spot than before. Donald’s remarks seemed to hint towards his not having a plan at all to deal with ISIS.
Trump said that he will have a good relationship with Putin.Putin is generally put in a negative light in the United States, so having a good relationship with him could help our country. It took a turn for the negative side when a Tweet posted by Putin was brought up. The tweet had a compliment from Putin that said Trump was a “brilliant leader”. Trump begins his speech by expressing his support for the CIA. He talks about how “This is my first stop”(pg 1 para 1). He also emphasizes how important they are by pointing out that he had other places he could have gone such as balls or other speeches. Trump also makes an easily refutable statement somewhat of a Strawman when he says “Almost everyone in this room voted for me”(pg 1 para 5). Trump also talks about how Himself and the CIA are on the same page, and want the same things. Trump on the same note of being on the same page talks about how we need to “get rid of ISIS, We need to get rid of ISIS”(pg 1 para 8) Trump uses repetition to get his point across that they both want the same things.…

Speaker’s use diction, syntax, and imagery to reflect their tone. In her final argument, Clinton says “After the world watched with horror as the twin towers fell, he called in to a New York TV station, and even on that horrible day when thousands of people lost their lives, he couldn’t stop himself from pointing out that now, because the towers had fallen, a building he owned was the tallest in Lower Manhattan.” Hillary Clinton's use of words like “horror” and “horrible” sets an apathetic tone. By setting this tone Clinton hopes to show voters how self-centered Donald Trump is. While Clinton strives to prove that Donald Trump was self-centered, Trump ventured to show that Hillary Clinton was crooked. Donald Trump first called Hillary Clinton…

From the article The Washington Post by Fred Hiatt it states that “In a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations in November, Hillary Clinton said that the United States needs to wage both “an immediate war against an urgent enemy” and “a generational struggle against an ideology with deep roots.” Starting a war against an enemy would not be a good idea. Because she wants to start a war for no reason, this would create a big problem. She does not need to start a war for no reason and have to kill innocent people. According to the article What’s at stake by Patricia Smith it says “Trump has promised to defeat ISIS by taking away the oil that funds the terrorist group. He also vows to increase the size of the U.S. military and “bomb the hell out of ISIS.” Because he wants to bomb ISIS, he would be bombing other people who are innocent. Just because ISIS is bad doesn’t mean you have to kill other people who are not part of that group. He would be killing some of the good people. The other good people would riot because he would have killed innocent people for no…

Trump was responding to actress Meryl Streep, who criticized the incoming president in a speech at Golden Globes. Compared to the other articles this one appears to be slightly more credible and shows minimal biases as it provides evidence and views both sides of the argument portray. The intentions geared toward the audience are of those who simply want to be aware of the general idea of the crisis but are also on the slightly bias side of supporting the video evidence and that he was responsible. “President- elect Donald trump again denied mocking a reporter for a physical disability in a series of tweets on Monday, even though he clearly appears to have done so while on the campaign trail in 2015.”(Dana Liebelson) , the author summarizing the general idea of the events provides insight on a series of tweets Donald trump was responsible for contradicting the video evidence of him “clearly” doing so during his campaign trail in 2015.
