Tuesday Of The Other June By Norma Mazer Summary
Don’t let words bully you

After watching and reading all the stuff i'm supposed to, I can now identify the theme. I think the theme of everything I just looked at is don't let words bully you and bring you down. I know this is the theme because of these reasons. In the story, “Tuesday of the other June” by Norma Fox Mazer the theme of the story is don't become the bully when you're being bullied. The main character/narrator is being bullied by a girl with her same name, June. Yet June wanted to get back at her bully, she didn't; Because she knew that's wrong. June would always remember what her mom would say, “Turn the other cheek my Junie; smile at the world, and the world’ll surely smile back.” This shows that even though June wanted to say some hurtful words to the other June, she didn't want to be marked as a bully from everyone around her.
In the picture, I think the theme of it is that don't show people that they’re bothering you, try and ignore them, the hateful words. For example, in the picture the boy was facing away from the kids that were pointing and laughing at him. This shows that the boy was trying to ignore the bullies at the best of his abilities by facing away from them for they won’t see how he reacts to what they’re doing to him. {Most bullies like to see people’s reactions to how you bully them,

Just ignore those hateful words people say about you and ignore the haters. This claim/theme could tie to the real world by when people are being mean to you and saying things about you, just ignore them as said in my theme, because their words don't matter. If your friend says those words, they're not your friend, but don't become the bully. Laugh along with the words they say because they will get bored because your laughing along with them. Just because you are diffrent then them, doesn't mean you get to be bullied by just

In the essay ”Bully Pulpit” Rachel Giese puts the question “Is anti-bullying hysteria harming our kids?”, and shares how the nemesis of bullying has matured over the years. She is of the opinion that the way it is being tackled exhibits generational obliviousness. Rachel starts off by sharing her personal experience over the past six months during which period her 8 year old son was reprimanded by the school authorities on many occasions for being a bully. The difference in bullying in her and her son’s generation has been that the line between the aggressor and the victim has been drawn thicker. Rachel explains that over last one year, because of bullying and extreme torment from their peers, several young people have killed themselves.…

The last possible theme that I think is good for this book is to never have fear and if you do have fear, you won’t survive. One event that supports this theme is when Uri tells the other orphan boys that if you have fear you won’t survive on the streets. This is true because if the boys had fear to steal the food from stores and people they would mess-up a lot or not even do it. If that happened, they would either get caught and killed, or just end up…

The design is to give off a more serious tone and to grab a reader’s attention. This is a piece I don’t think I will ever forget because the way it is set up is genius. It has the crying boy in the middle to attract the audience then the hand of words choking the crying boy to keep the audience’s attention. It truly makes a person sit down and think about how words affect everyone and just like the caption says “Your words have power use them wisely” that quote just sums up the whole photo.…

Bullying is described as the use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants. Within the short stories,” The White Circle” by John Bell Clayton,” The Day I Followed” by Eric Luper, and” Bully on the Ledge” by Kurtis Scaletta, someone has to overcome the obstacles of being bullied, or the bully themselves, and admittedly regretting it in the end. The common thread in these three short stories is to think about your decisions before you make them a reality and end up regretting them in the cessation of everything.…

Furthermore, the author uses a series of images giving the reader an image on how Roosevelt would have been acting if actually seeing all those children of color taking over the school. It also gives an image of how Theodore Roosevelt was on the front lines of the Spanish-American war encouraging his fellow soldiers. In lines eleven through twenty- six, the author provides you an image on how minorities are now taking over Theodore Roosevelt establishing their own culture in which he did to them at one point in history. So these are the images the author shows throughout the poem which gives the title of the poem “Bully” because of the way Theodore Roosevelt treated the Spanish during the Spanish-American war.…

Ms. Rossing one of many lesson, “what happens when we communicate effectively” (Seider, 2012, p. 199)? Many times, children tend to be bullied and they become bullies as well, yet on this text it took a strong individual with great moral, civic, and performance character, to see what could be changed to make the playground more friendly. Another occasion I would read this book would be to a student, or students that were displaying bully tenancies to see, that they need to be nice, so that they may be included in the peer interaction. Many times, we as educators tend to think a situation with the students is resolved by speaking to the parents, yet with children as young as my preschoolers, I work with it can be resolved or address by reading them books. When you allow the children to see where and how they are acting toward their peers, it makes a connection where they can point out where the concern is. Ms. Rossing said, “what are we going to do to fix the problem” (Seider, 2012, p.…

The essay “Words that Wound” by Kathleen Vail shows how bullying effects today’s youth. The essay shows how tragic bullying can be on kids, and how it has lead to suicide and even accidental murder. I think that bullying can lead to such tragedies, but at the same time, bullying is just a part of life. I feel that bullying toughens up kids, and gets them ready to deal with people in the real world, and if they cannot handle the bullying, I feel they won’t make it in the real world. You have to ignore kids giving you a hard time, and know you won’t be around them for the rest of your life.…
