twin dilema
The twin dilemma was very interesting to me, because the twins are the same and different at a same time. I don’t think that they are going to develop and grow in the exactly same way because every child is unique in their own way. In my classroom, I have twins that are 2 years old. They are a boy and a girl that look exactly same, but they have some difference as we. When I compare these twins a boy is never talking but girl is. He doesn’t know to say any single world but girl knows some words. So they have a language development difference. He is also having some difficulties to focus himself on the assignments that he is supposed to do and his sister is always focused and knows exactly what needs to be done. So they have some intellectual differences as well. There are also some differences in the social development too. She is very social when compared to her brother. These twins are different in the three areas of development and they are same in emotional and physical development. While every child will go through the steps of PILES and some might be delayed or behind those steps there is a chance for them to be different while going through these steps. This is part of nature and nurture at the same time and there is a chance for a boy to be more pulled back or shy when he grows up.
Another important factor in the child growth and development is an environment or nurture. Lev Vygotsky theory states that human development results from interaction with others and the society and are key to development (Gallagher, C. 1999). I believe too that an environment has big influence on humans life, because if the twins are living together they are going to go the same school, they are having the same teachers they are taking the same classes and they are having the same friends there is a big chance that they are going to have lots of common and they will share same views. Now if you take same twins that grow up separately there is a good chance that they will share different views and have different beliefs based on fact that they are surrounded by different people and society. Overall I think that PILES are steps that every child will go through and that nature and nurture will play equal role for both children.
