b. Distribution: Under Armour is definitely a company that allows their customers to deeply think about their product before making their purchase. They strive to distribute their product at the most efficient speed, so that their company can increase its value. The company sells their products from their website, www.underarmour.com, and in stores. However, their merchandise is also sold at larger distribution stores, like Dick’s, Nordstrom’s, Sport’s Authority, and Macy’s. They use a selective distributing strategy in order to choose exactly what stores feature their products, and they attempt to mostly sell their merchandise in sporting goods stores. Under Armour uses these means of distribution as a way to maximize value at the most cost …show more content…
Price: As their target market is geared towards athletic people, the company is able to charge higher prices because the individuals are more focused on their sport and themselves rather than the price of the product. In other words, the value of the product outweighs the price of the product. Therefore, typically athletic people who purchase Under Armour products for a specific sport overlook the price because they are more concerned with the quality and function of the product and how it will benefit them in their sport. They generally remain at a competitive price in the industry, as their products are cheaper than those of Nike. Their products generally range from $39.99 to $100.00, remaining competitive to similar companies. Their footwear remains at a consistently lower price due to the modernity of the addition to their product mix.
d. Promotion: Under Armour is successful due to their promotion strategies. They use television, billboards, Internet ads, sponsorships, and social media to advertise their merchandise. They focus on many professional athletes to promote their products, in an attempt to make those watching feel more relatable. Their advertisements feature those of all races and ages to attract customers of all ages and races. They are a supplier of a wide range of sportswear and casual apparel mainly focusing on high technology sportswear for professional athletes. Depending on the high technological and differentiated product lines, Under Armour has dramatic growth rate from 2000 to 2007. In addition, it is supplying over 100 NCAA division 1A football program and 30 NFL team, and opened self-owned retail and outlet stores in 2007.
