According to my teacher alcohol can seriously affect a student’s work ethic, which can lead to skipping school, or failing test. Some students rely on alcohol so much that they will drink in school, forget to study, or get in trouble at parties; which are all very harmful to a student’s academic career. In the teenage years of a person their brain is still developing, in this development stage it is important for the teen to pay attention in school and remain focused, alcohol can damage a teenagers ability to learn and at such a young age this can be very harmful to a teenage student. Students that drink alcohol will sometimes drink before or during school, which is unsafe for the student and their peers. As a student it is very important that you reach your full potential and alcohol can cause you to stray from your individual goals and become a negative influence on your peers. Alcohol and school don’t mix so in order to be the best student possible you have to stay focused and don’t fall into peer pressure. In the video it showed people drinking and having a good time which they thought was harmless, then once the people were intoxicated they thought it would be wise to drive under the influence. Driving while intoxicated not only puts your own life at risk but it also puts other drivers at risk and the safety of any passengers. The people in the video thought it was harmless to drive drunk, which was until they either crashed or hurt themselves or someone else, or they died or killed someone else. The video really shows the graphic side of drinking and driving which is a very powerful way to show the viewer the real life effects of driving drunk. This video correlates well with the book “success is a full time job” the book is great motivation for learning how to correct your lifestyle and “reach your full potential” as stated in the book while the video shows the viewer how not to live their life. The video clearly shows how the effects of how drinking can ruin your life and other people’s lives. After I read the book I realized that success is not given its earned and maintaining success is just as important as achieving it. The combination of watching the video and reading the book has been very eye opening to how bad alcohol can be and how it affects everyone else, I’ve realized that alcohol is a very power subsistence that should not be
