Tesco identifies vacancy in different ways firstly, if someone quits their job they would immediately know that person has left and needs to be replaced. If there is more demand online they would know that they need fewer checkouts and need more personal shoppers. If Tesco have an expansion they would know there is more vacancies because more shifts need to be covered. There a quite a few jobs which people do at Tesco. the lower level jobs are going to have a more simple description whereas the higher levers are going to be more complex and it is likely that they will change over time but the lower levels probably won't. tesco goes with this by rating the jobs in levels, level 1 are the frontline jobs working directly with customers. Various in-store tasks, such as filling shelves with stock. Requires the ability to work accurately and with enthusiasm and to interact well with others. Then it goes up to a higher level. Work level 2 is leading a team of employees who deal directly with customers. Requires the ability to manage resources, to set targets, to manage and motivate others. Work level 3 is running an operating unit. Requires management skills, including planning, target setting and reporting. Work level 4 are the people who are supporting operating units and recommending strategic change. Requires good knowledge of the business, the skills to analyse information and to make decisions, and the ability to lead others. For work level 5 people are responsible for the performance of Tesco as a whole. Requires the ability to lead and direct others, and to make major decisions. The highest level is 6 which are for people who are creating the purpose, values and goals for Tesco plc. Responsibility for Tesco’s performance. Requires a good overview of retailing, and the ability to build a vision for the future and lead the whole organisation. The job description is useful for the candidates because it says what they will have to do in their job. It also helps…

A cut is completed to separate the kidney in half. There is a thin membrane that covers the kidney. This being the renal capsule. The outer ring, the inner section as well as chambers are visible. Both the sheep and the pig kidney have the distinctive kidney bean shape. The cortex of the kidney is striated. The next layer is the the medulla. This area appears quite fatty. The area where the nephron and and renal arteries are located. The white section, in the center of the kidney is the renal pelvis. There is a hole identified as the opening to the ureter which is where the urine would drain from the kidney. At the edge of the renal pelvis are major calyces or tube like extensions from the renal pelvis. The openings at the end of the calyces are the papillae. They split into smaller segments. The shapes within the medulla are renal pyramids. They appear very…

    1. Review the glossary provided at the end of this dissection guide. Refer to the diagram of the kidney as a general reference as you observe and identify external and internal structures. 2. Observe the renal capsule. This structure is made up of dense, irregular connective tissue and provides protection as well as helps maintain shape. Remove any adipose tissue that may be attached to the capsule. 3. Locate the hilus. This is an indentation where the ureter and blood vessels enter and exit the kidney. Remove excess adipose tissue to observe the ureter more closely. The renal artery and vein may be difficult to locate; they were severed close to the hilus when the kidney was removed from the animal. 4. Make a frontal section through the kidney. Locate the cortex and medulla. The medulla lies below the cortex. Observe and record the appearance of each region. 5. The medulla consists of numerous conical structures called renal pyramids. The base of each pyramid lies next to the cortex, while the tip forms a renal papilla. Each papilla…
