P3) Outline how an organisation motivates its employees.
Apple
There are different kinds of motivational theories used in a selected business, I have chosen Apple for this assignment because I like Apple and I have chosen this organisation for several other assignments.
In order to have a good successful organization you need to have hardworking and motivated employees who will help your organization to grow big time. There are a lot of ways to motivate your employees and to keep them motivated for example with the use of reward systems. Overall there are three different reward systems, used for all kind of employees.
As you can imagine Apple is a very big organisation with lots of employees all over the world. In order to keep them all happy and motivated, Apple needs to know precisely which reward system or motivational theory keeps them motivated.

Taylor
We start with the salesman, the salesman works in the Apple stores to sell all the different product Apple has on the market. The reward system Apple uses for their sales employees is a discount, it is really simple. Every time one of the sales employees sells a product, they get a discount of 50% on the same product. With this reward system Apple hopes to motivates his employees in a effective way. Another example is working on the holidays, nobody likes to work on a Christmas evening or a New year's day. In order to motivates the employees of Apple to work on these days, they use a very effective way. Namely if a employee works on one of these days, they get a bonus on their hourly. For example if a employee earns €10,- per hour, apple could give a bonus of 200%. That means he will earn €20,- on the holidays instead of €10,-. These two motivational strategies are linked to the motivational theory Taylor. Because the employees get motivated by money but they still have something to say.

    Some things to be considered would be the nine major factors of motivation. These are respect for me as a person, good pay, chance to turn out quality work, chance for promotion, opportunity to do interesting work, feeling my job is important, being told by the boss that you did a good job, opportunity for self-development and improvement, and a large amount of freedom on the job. These things need to be implemented into the rewards system. Always give a person the respect that you would want from everyone you work with. Keeping good records of employees work performance can help make the decision on who is going to be promoted. Having a large amount of freedom will give the employee opportunity for self-development and improvement.
