Outcome 1 Understand anatomy and physiology in relation to moving and positioning individuals
1. Outline the anatomy and physiology of the human body in relation to the importance of correct moving and positioning of individuals.
The muscular system The Skeletal System
The skeleton is basically the structure of the body and keeps your internal organs in place.
Muscles are attached to the skeleton and come in pairs, one to move the bone one way and the other one to move it back again.
The skeleton bones are held together by ligaments, tendons attach to the bones of the skeleton.
The muscular and skeletal systems work together to carry out bodily movements and together they are called the musculoskeletal system, when the muscle moves the bones move.
The less these muscles are used the more difficult it is to move them, but the more they are used they become firm and move easier.
