Unit 7 D1
In the assignment I will be evaluating how Marxism and Feminism fit into the statistic I have in P3 and how I think they fit into them. I will also be evaluating how good my statistic I found was and the strengths and weakness’ that they have and then coming to a conclusion.
The statistics that I found where based on infant mortality and life expectancy where I compared them to two different areas to see the difference. Due to me getting results from different years I believe that my evidence was quite good as it gave me a wide range to use. I was then able to see the differences in the areas over the years and see if everything changed and if so what affects it had. The weakness’ from the evidence is the fact that it wasn’t completely up to date as the results only went to 2010 therefore the statistics weren’t truly accurate. Over all I think the statistics were good to look at as I was able to see how they compared in different areas and the reasons because of that.
Marxism believe in different social classes having an effect on people health, the lower the class the poorer the health you have. Putting this in a perspective of life expectancy it mean that the lower the class the lower the life expectancy is probably going to be due to ill health, poverty and not being able to get the treatment that they are in need of. Therefore the better health care you can get due to the better medical equipment, the longer you are going to live. An example of this is better equipment to help cancer sufferers, due to the better care it is found that they are living 10 years longer then what they normally would. In an infant mortality point of view, once again it is down to better medical equipment in higher social classes. Because of this they are able to monitor pregnancies in order to reduce any risks to both the mother and baby during birth and better of the medical help after the baby is born, there is a much better chance of them living after a problem during birth.

All employees will need to share files, this is why a file server is needed, it will make it easier as the information and documents on the server won’t have to keep moving through people’s USB’s. There are three printers, two on the top floor and one on the bottom floor, this is so people who are working upstairs don’t have to bother going to another floor just for their printing. The third printer is for the boss because they won’t want all their information going out of a regular printer just in case there is confidential information which needs to be withheld from the employees.…

To function properly the body has systems to maintain homeostasis, the maintenance of a steady internal state, despite changes in external or internal conditions. Homeostasis is maintained through negative feedback and positive feedback systems. Homeostasis enables body systems of a human being to function as expected because of proper temperature regulation. When someone has to be placed on dialysis their body goes through a process that waste products are excreted from our bodies artificially by a process called diffusion. This process of removal of waste products in a healthy person is facilitated by kidneys. People that is diagnosed with kidney failure experiences problems with waste removal this is where dialysis comes into place.…

My team’s objectives were to raise the awareness of our charity, raise over £1000 and raise as much money as possible and to run successful events. We were given £100 to start our events and had to budget what we spent. We had to decide our individual roles before we started planning any of the events so we all knew what we had to do but this was a bit of a struggle as it was hard to define, in the early stages, who had what roles. However, our team was effective because we all helped each other with different tasks and then all began to found out our strengths and our weaknesses. We all listened to each other and try to make everyone in the team feel welcome and not make them feel left out. For example, When Sandie joined our group it was a while after the team was formed so she may have felt a bit left out but we all tried to make her feel welcome and she took on the role of being in charge of all the health and safety and risk assessments for the event.…

If you are becoming a home based child carer then you must be aware of the current legislation and the role in which regulatory bodies play. If you wish to register for becoming a childminder in Northern Ireland you must do so through your local Health and Social Services Trust. A childminder must by law register with the local Health and Social Services Trust and the purpose of registration is to protect children, to provide reassurance to parents using childcare and to ensure that childminding services meet acceptable standards. To achieve registration a childminder is required to comply with standards of safety, equipment, numbers of children etc. The home environment is checked to ensure that it meets the standards required and that it is suitable to care for children. References and health checks are required as are criminal record checks on all individuals in the household over the age of 10. The Children (NI) Order 1995 states that registration should be completed within three months of receipt of the completed application form. Following on from registration, childminders are inspected annually by the Health and Social Services Trust. NICMA recognise that childminding is a professional day care service and as such, the registration process is the first step towards the provision of quality childminding. The Children (NI) Order 1995 states that a registered childminder is, "a person who looks after 1 or more children under the age of 12, for more than 2 hours per day, on domestic premises, for reward". Registered Childminders are self-employed day care providers who work in their own home to provide care and education for other people’s children within a family setting. Unlike nannies and au pairs, they are inspected and registered by Social Services on a regular basis. Registered childminders may be registered to care for up to 6 children between the ages of 0 - 12 years of age (including their own children) and only registered…

Although the functionalists think that the society has to be mended as quickly as possible to make it run smoothly the Marxism think different. The Marxism approach seem to think that the dominant social classes provide the society with the right needs as they help people on the sick role get back to normal as soon as possible so the society see these as agents; working along with the employers rather than the patients that need the care. They think because Tamsela lives in a poor state area in London and live in bad conditions the Marxism think that ill health is down the where and how people live, this being down to the different social classes. Firms that produce things that are bad for the health and staying in business as people who live in these conditions need the money as they have barely any help from the welfare state. The government does not do enough to prevent ill health and issues that lead…

Reflective practise isn't about slating your practise and being harsh on yourself, its about identifying ways in which you can make things better for yourself and for the children in your care. Its extremely important as a practitioner that you use the idea of reflective practise as “self evaluation is necessary to improve your own professional practise, develop your ability to reflect upon routines/activities and modify plans to meet the individual needs of the children and or young people with whom you work” ( Meggit, 2011:21)…

(D1 & D2) Within this piece of work, I will be focusing on the transition of a child attending a day nursery for the first time. This piece will be centred on a child under three, starting a day nursery for the first time and attending the nursery all day. This piece of work will be based on a child whose parents work full time. Therefore, they will be having breakfast and tea at the setting. Day nurseries are becoming increasingly popular as many parents are needing to return back to work. The Education Editor, Graeme Paton, wrote in The Telegraph online that the "Figures from the Department for Education show that 441,000 children under five are in day nurseries."
