In this task I will be speaking about different types of media and some advantages and disadvantages for them. I will be choosing a national campaign and I will speak about the media types they used and how effective they were for the business.
TV Advertisement: A television advertisement (variously called a television commercial, commercial or ad in American English, and known in British English as an advert) is a span of television programming produced and paid for by an organization, which conveys a message, typically to market a product or service.
TV advertisement can be done on a national and international exposure. This is because some campaigns could be national so it might be that they only want to advertise within one country

Phonebook advertising can be done on a local, regional and national exposure. This is because people like to use phonebooks to find people or business close to them so that it is easier for them to reach out to who they are trying to find. It is mostly used in a local and regional exposure as people mainly use it to find people and business nearby.
Some advantages of phonebook advertising include the following:
-One advantage of phonebook advertising is that all the ads are highlighted. Phonebooks target people who are ready to buy. They have specific categories and headings where someone can place an ad. A business can place an advertisement in more than one category if it is coming under more than one classification. An example of this is that a beauty salon can come under ‘Beauty Salons’ and ‘Hair Care’.
-Another advantage is that telephone books are available to shoppers 24/7. This is beneficial to an advertiser when households use their phonebooks a lot. Most people store their phonebooks in drawers or cabinets near their telephones so that they can reference it if they need to.

Internet advertising is ideal for businesses with a national or international target market and large-scale distribution capabilities.
-As a rule, the more people your business serves, the most cost-efficient internet advertising can be. Internet advertising can also be more targeted than some traditional media, ensuring that your messages are seen by the most relevant audiences.
Some disadvantages of website advertising include the following:
- One disadvantage of advertising on the Internet is that your marketing materials are automatically available for anyone in the world to copy, regardless of the legal ramifications. Logos, images and trademarks can be copied and used for commercial purposes, or even to slander or mock your company. This is not the case with television and magazine advertising, wherein images must be replicated rather than simply copied
