Valjean And Cosette

In the movie Les Miserables there is a man named Valjean who is a convict. When Valjean was just a teenager, he stole bread and served 19 years in prison. Valjean meets a man when he gets out of prison that inspires him to be a better man. Valjean also has an encounter with a lady named Fantine and as time progressed they became very close. Valjean finds out Fantine has a little girl that she has been sending money to be able to get her back. Fantine gets really sick and later passes away, Fantine wanted Valjean to be the one who raised Cosette. Valjean devotes his life to make sure Cosette is raised properly. Valjean learned a lot about love and compassion while taking care of Cosette. Valjean was willing to pay any amount of money or do anything he had to do to get Cosette back to where she belonged and away from the people who hit her if she didn’t clean right or do the things she was told. After risking his life, he finally rescues Cosette from the town of poverty. Valjean took her home and helped save her from a harsh atmosphere. Valjean was willing to sacrifice all his money and his life to be able to help Cosette live a normal, save life without having to work
Valjean didn’t only help Cosette, but he also helped himself find the true value of caring for someone else. Valjean was the superior role model in Cosette’s life. He took her in under his care and raised her to become a spectacular young woman. Valjean taught her how to live without fear, and how to love and trust people. Although Cosette didn’t have much freedom, Valjean did it out of pure love to keep her safe. With Valjean’s principles Cosette grew up well-mannered and respectful to the people in her life. Without Valjean, Cosette would’ve been working her whole life and living in fear and proverty. The devotion Valjean had to raise Cossette properly helped shape her into an educated, excellent young
