Later on in class, he looked at his jar where his caterpillar was. He couldn’t believe his eyes! He was stunned to find that it had turned into a butterfly. At recess, he went outside and released the butterfly. Then Curtis came at him again motioning Francisco if he could see his picture. When he looked at it, Arthur says to Francisco in Spanish saying that he liked it. Finally, Francisco gave Curtis his…

By critical analysis it can become a very complicating task to define a child’s book. There are many fundamental definitive factors that can be found in books that have been written for Children. For instance, if we take the example of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe C.S Lewis 1950 . Universally it is recognised as a book for children. It contains the inherent facets of a children’s book. Often a typical children’s book will have a child protagonist. In the classic novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe C.S Lewis. C.S Lewis has not just one child protagonist but four. Very commonly we find the child protagonist in the story is an orphan. Again we can see C.S Lewis has shown four children that are away from their parents and the typical family nucleus. Moreover, examples of orphanage can be seen in the classic novel of The Jungle book by Rudyard Kipling 1894. In The Jungle book the child protagonist is an orphan found in the jungle floating in a basket by a panther.…

The way the book is written and the syntax make the book a good beginning book for kids. The plot line, colorful pictures, and admirable characters will appeal to children and get them excited about reading, which is very important. Many beginner readers have to read basic lists of words, with no plot and no excitement, which can be very dull and discouraging. This book achieves the same thing those lists do, but also creates a fun and motivational environment for kids to…

Preschool children are depending on their teachers’ to provide them with as much useful information as possible for them to succeed to the next level.…

The focus on this observation was language and literacy. In the preschool classroom the connection I want to make in there with language and literacy would be when the teacher was reading the class on a book about Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. The teacher made sure to ask questions during the readings and have the class answer her back. In order to fully keep the children in a fairly long book. After the teacher completed the book the kids went outside for recess. As I observed the children playing on the playground they were acting out parts from the story with each other.…
