Vets take care of animals that are sick or just need a check up. They are like regular doctors, but for animals. “Vets examin, make diagnoses, do blood test, x-ray, treating diseases or injuries, performing surgery, and preventing animal illness through vaccinations for animals.” There are many different areas that you can specialize in as a vet. There is surgery, dentistry, dermatology, neurology, cardiology, pathology, and oncology. Each study on one main thing like dentistry is for teeth. Lastly they deal with a wide variety of animals.

They diagnose and treat congestive heart failure, heart muscle disease, age related changes to the valves of the heart, and ect. Some test they may have to do are echocardiography, electrocardiography, blood pressure evaluation, and ect. Veterinary pathologist perform research on animals in the pursuit of preventing, diagnosing, and treating disease.
