Vincent Van Gogh The Large Plain Trees

The Large Plain Trees by Vincent Van Gogh was painted in 1889 when a street in Saint-Remy was being repaved. When we first look at this oil painting we see the large yellow trees which can help us identify that it must be fall but then as our eyes scan down we can see the white rubble, I initially thought this could have been snow, and the reflection of the trees in the puddles. Behind the trees we see people walking and the women wearing long dresses, what looks to be a horse and townhouses. We can imply that this must take place during the morning through afternoon. Van Gogh paints people out walking and uses brighter yellows and greens showing early morning/afternoon. This definitely depicts the time of 1889. Vincent Van Gogh also
