Title: Violence in Games leads violence in children Nowadays most children regularly play games on a computer or their television. These games have become more violent over the past few years. In fact, many parents worry about this and the effect these games are having on their children. Some are concerned that playing violent games might encourage them to co me aggressive in real life. For example A new study from Canada's Brock University has found that playing violent video games for significant lengths of time can hold back the "moral maturity" of teenagers. Therefore, I strongly agree that violence games are the path of destruction of children nowadays. As technology continues to improve, video games are becoming extremely realistic. This is another cause of aggressiveness in children because it leads to children having violent video game role models. Rather than looking up to professional athletes or fire fighters, children are looking up to violent video game characters that do not even exist. The more realistic the game the more a child might believe that they can do in real life what they see in the game. This is a major issue because it is causing children to lash out at others thinking they are indestructible as they may be in a game. Besides that, lack of parental guidance is the primary factor that can lead a child to involve in violence. With the lack of parental guidance children are not put on the right path, nor are they taught what is socially acceptable as far as behaviour. If a child is taking social cues from video games and movies of course they are going to pick up their behaviour patterns from those things as opposed to the vacant parental figures. Even though these behaviour patterns may be imprinted from video games, it is not the fault of the games themselves for imprinting the child but the blame should be pointing toward the parent for not imprinting their own child with the correct sequences of socially acceptable
