Violin Sonata No. 9, “Kreutzer”

Loua chose this piece since he found it on Youtube late at night and it caught his attention. He likes the sudden bursts of joy, anger, and the passion of this piece. Which these attitudes explain his passion for the piece.
The beginning starts with a violin. There are many sforzandos with the eighth notes and whole notes. The tempo is moderato as the piano plays a couple measures of staccato quarter notes. The mood simulates happiness soon to come. The rhythm has the slurring of whole notes and the dynamic is at piano with the drastic change crescendo to fortissimo. Abinayah chose this piece because this is one of her favorite songs, that is featured in the indian Syfy films. This piece is memorable to her since it brings back memories from when she lived in India.
The beginning starts off with the violins by having them slur eighth notes back and forth. The cellos echo back the rhythm that the violins play. The dynamic level is mezzo forte. A bass is added in along with the low brass instruments. The tempo is moderato. The rhythm consists of whole notes and eighth notes. The bowings from the violins perspective sway back and forth. The violins have the melody while the lower strings take control of the harmony. The tempo changes to largo by the flowing long whole notes the violins echo through the orchestra. A harp is heard as it plucks the strings with sprinkles of sound that shimmers throughout the orchestra. Then full orchestra is added in. The dynamics are forte. Abruptly the dynamics decrescendo down to piano while the timpani and percussion takes over at their fortissimo dynamic. The tempo changes to allegro. Along with the mood being energetic and hyper. The orchestra rejoins with a new theme which states the elegant and pure style. This can relate to looking out at a beautiful ocean at night, and it's just breathless and magnificent. This orchestra takes your breath away with the beautiful tone you hear. The song ends with a loud roar and the strings hit the last four measures with accented quarter
