My experiences are plagiarism, undermotivated students as well as professors, and too much debt. I have discovered that my financial aid was not meeting my needs, and as a result I am expected to pay elven thousands dollars for my freshman year. I expressed these concerns to my well educated family member who also is very familiar with the education system on the collegiate level. Going to college is a great step in life for a lot of us, but things now-a-days keep getting more expensive and many families don’t have the finances to afford it. We come to the one and probably the only option that is financial aid. Financial aid helps more than two thirds of the students, and some of them don’t use it the way they’re supposed to; some abuse the financial aid system and lie on the application so they can get money. Thanks to financial aid students have the opportunity to study in college and be able to earn a degree, but there are students that take advantage of it. I believe that financial aid system should be reconstructed as well as more security procedures should be added to the applications.…

Throughout my life and school career I have been privileged and deprived in certain areas. I always thoroughly understood that no one was perfect, but I made it clear to myself that I needed to work as hard as I could to get as close as possible to perfect. I faced every challenge with hard work and dedication whether it was on a test in school or game day while playing football. Luckily, I was privileged with hard work and persistency and the ability to apply myself in any situation. Also, I am thankful I had the opportunity to attend grade school and high school without having to directly pay because one area my family and I are deprived in is affluence. Being able to attend school has allowed me to develop knowledge and skills I can use toward becoming affluent. I have challenged myself by taking honors, advanced placement, and college classes. I made certain that I did my best in each of those classes and my work paid off. But, there is one last step to achieving my goal and it is college. Unlike high school and grade school, college needs to be paid for directly. This last stage of education is my stepping stone to a productive career and the only thing stopping me is my disadvantage. Although my mother and father do all they can to support me, the positions they are in do not suit them to aid me in my final stage of school. My dad being unemployed and my mother being a factory worker does not add up to me going to college. This is why every piece of financial aid I can receive will help me reach my goal of becoming a successful physical therapist. My desire to help people now is reflected in my volunteer service as an EMT. I would like to continue helping people and make it into a career. I can do this by going to college and putting my privileges to work.…

Rader and Gilbert conducted a study aimed towards identifying the presence of an egalitarian relationship between therapist and clients when using the feminist approach during sessions. Being that egalitarian relationships are one of the main concerns in the feminist therapy approach, Rader and Gilbert observed counselors who identified themselves as being feminist therapist and determined if their clients’ perceived them in the same way. Their study included observations of how clients and therapist exercised their personal power throughout therapy sessions.…

”Ang hindi nagmamahal sa sariling wika ay masahol pa sa malansang isda” is one of the most often quoted of Rizal’s writings. Why, then, did he write his two novels, Noli me tangere and El Filibusterismo in Spanish? In his dedication of theNoli me Tangere, Rizal wrote, “I will strive to reproduce thy condition faithfully, without discriminations.” Surely, the national hero of the Philippines was not somebody who said one thing and did the opposite.…

The two topics I’m going to talk about are unconditional election and the gospel. These two topics are really important to me as a follower of Jesus Christ. I’ve learned a lot more about my faith and these topics as well, over the past few weeks in this class. I will go in-depth with these topics and back up with scripture, how they are biblical and essential to know about in the Christian faith.…

Predestination is a Christian doctrine, which falls under the larger philosophical rubric of determinism. Calvinists especially adhere to the doctrine of predestination. There are two aspects to the Calvinist belief in predestination. The first declares that God basically has ordained everything that occurs, or will occur. In regard to salvation, the Calvinist code of predestination is more specific: Scripture teaches that there are certain people – ‘the elect’ – who are chosen by God, through Christ, to be called to Christianity, and thus be saved for eternity. Calvinist interpretations of predestination often get into trouble over issues of free will; indeed, some interrogate the notion of God’s omniscient power to create all events and actions, given the fact that humans clearly possess the power of free will.…

North of Manila, the island of Luzon tempted me with some wonderful mountainous areas, volcanic landscapes and a beautiful coastline dotted with heavenly beaches. Heading up the west coast from Subic, the Zambales coast amazed me being dotted with laidback resorts, while the Hundred Islands , as they say, a favourite weekend trip from Manila, gave me an idea on what to visit this summer. As I remember, further along the coast, the province of La Union draws visitors particularly for its surfing. North of here is Ilocos Sur, known primarily for the old colonial city of Vigan, where horse-drawn carriages bounce down narrow cobblestone streets. This scenario made me go back to the ancient times. As I was able to remember, the area around the capital of Ilocos Norte province, Laoag, features a number of sites related to former dictator Ferdinand Marcos, who was born in the nearby village of Sarrat. Another spot was Palanan – the jump-off point for the barely explored Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park. For many visitors, though, the prime attraction in Northern Luzon is the mountainous inland Cordillera region. Highlights here include the mountain village of Sagada with its caves and hanging coffins, and the stunning rice terraces around Banaue and Bontoc. In the village of Kabayan in Benguet province, it’s possible to hike up to see mummies, discovered in caves in the early twentieth century. Kabayan also provides access to Mount Pulag, the highest mountain in Luzon, as I was able to remember being discussed as “Mt. Pulog”. Finally, far off the northern coast lie the scattered islands of Batanes province. For me, this region is the best in choosing destinations for a vacation.…
