Now, good men, God forgive you your trespass
And guard you from the sin of avarice. The real problem is that the Pardoner is a successful preacher, and his profit specifies to several people who really learn from his speeches and repent their sins. His Tale is an exact demonstration of a way which greed leads to evil. And the Pardoner is an excellent preacher
against greed. The Pardoner works irrespective of his actions. Hollow feelings lead to real results. It is also reflected in the images of the tale. The Pardoner hates full stomachs, preferring empty vessels, and though his "wallet" can be "bretful pardoun comen from Rome", but the moral value of this paper is zero. Therefore the wallet is full and empty at the same time as the sermon of the the Pardoner. Sure in the center of the tale there is a search for someone called "Death".
There came a stealthy thief that's known as Death,
Throughout this country robbing folks of breath;
Three friends search the « Death» but find the gold. Their greediness leads all them to death. And so we can make a conclusion greed is a sin and money is known as a spiritual "death". Deceptive practices sometimes yield positive results. There are in life such moments when to tell the truth is equivalently to suicide. And it seems to us that the deception to someone will make somebody’s sorrow easier or will rescue someone. Sometimes our lie rescue relatives from excess experiences and we don't want to hurt them. But there must be some kind of balance where the lie shouldn't outweigh the truth. And the lie can sometimes be saving.
