For the demonstration experiments, our WG members had played a central role in going from place to place to see production sites.
As being introduced by these pictures, we have experimented at the sites of processing, robot processing, and surface processing as well as leakage inspection.
The original issue started from the want-to-see needs for many kinds of things on production sites. And we all have had activities aiming for predictive maintenance which can be introduced by anyone easily by applying IVI concept.
Today, I'll introduce the case by focusing on welding line.
There are 2 issues for welding.
The first issue is to do 100% non-destructive …show more content…
While we believe determining a certain threshold contributes to predict the service life of welding torch in judging whether it is defect or not, we only found in the experiment that there is quite much variance in the result; deflection appeared after 100 pcs. of welding in one time, but no deflection appeared even after welding 200 pcs. in another time then kept normal condition while the actual condition of replacement is 40 pcs. now. .
We will keep investigating this issue.
Let me summarize here. We could have a prospect of a system which enables high-spec technology compactly.
To introduce a little more, what we call it as an edge computing is a compact system enabling to diagnosis the robots easily even at the desk in the office. It has 13T storage and possible to store data for a long time.
Let's get back on track.
From the standpoint of a manufacturer, we firstly thought that the issue would be solved simply by collecting the data and uploading it into the cloud. Through the activities, however, we strongly realized that it is essential to determine the correlation between item's phenomena and data with the eyes of the site at least once.
Still, and while it takes much labor, once it is made into an application, the duplication expense is
