It has been provided that the costs of reconditioning the current equipment will be $50,000 fixed costs and $1,000,000 variable costs. 1. When determining how much of a profit a company will make, one has to look at a few deciding factors. Two of those are total revenue and total cost. Total revenue is the sum of a company’s sales of a particular product. Total cost is how much a company pays for production which includes fixed and variable costs. After total cost is deducted from the total revenue, the money left over is a profit. The goal of most is to maximize profits the best way possible. Total revenue and cost are very important when it comes to profit maximization because they are the guidelines of production. Total revenue is found by multiplying the price of the unit by the quantity produced and when compared to the total cost of each unit produced, a company can find out how many units to produce that would better maximize profits. Profit maximization is found by looking at the difference between the total revenue and total cost and determining which has the greatest profit.…

When creating the targeted population for Eric Harmon organization, as per Eric’s guidelines we targeted 100% of his total organization for White Belt. The guidance that was provided for changes to White Belt targets is the following: No changes will be made to the targeted population, if a leader decides that their employees will not complete the White Belt, get it approved by Eric and agreed that their percentage completed would never reach 100%. The updated 100% would be a percentage of their targeted employees. So a leader may be at 50%, at that is their 100% if that is what was agreed upon by Eric and the leaders.…

Elasticity of Demand pertains to the relationship of price and need of a product. If a price increases will the demand increase or decrease? When a demand is elastic, it means even a small change in price can cause a large change in the quantities consumers purchase. (McConnell, pg. 77) So for example in an elastic demand if you reduce the price of a good the demand will increase a large amount and revenue then increases. When the is inelastic, according to McConnell it means when there is a price change it only causes a small change in the amounts consumer purchase. This can result in less total revenue. If a company drops the price of something, even if they sell more it doesn’t mean they will make more overall. If it is inelastic, the revenue can drop. There is also something called perfectly inelastic, which means and change in price results in absolutely no change in demand. This is rare and an extreme situation. There is also demand in unit elastic which “demands occurs where a percentage change in price and the resulting percentage change in quantity demanded are the same”. (McConnell, pg. 77)…
