Walking Persuasive Speech

“I’m tired”, Max tells Jack. “Quit whining and walk faster, we’re both tired”, Jack answers back annoyed. It’s Tuesday afternoon, Jack and Max have been walking three whole days now with only a couple of rests in between to regain their strength and use the restroom. Jack needs to get to a town called Silverstar to deliver a package to someone that’s supposed to meet him there. Because Max didn’t have anything else to do and was bored out of his mind, he decided to accompany him. Five days ago, Jack got a job as a delivery man, he took this job so he could save the money he earned for college. This delivery is very important and private, Jack doesn’t know what’s inside the package and isn't allowed to open it. When Max and him were driving to Silverstar his car broke down on the way, so they had to walk the rest of the way or they wouldn't make it there on time. Both of them walked in silence after Jack's remark, until they came to an Inn where they would rest overnight and head off again in the morning. Early in the morning they ate their breakfast and left again for town. They were walking through the woods when someone jumped on them from behind, trying to steal the package. Jack got punched in the stomach and the thieves started running away with the package in their hands. Max caught them and took the package away. “Jack
are you alright?”, max asked worried for his friend, Jack replied with a weak nod while still holding his stomach in pain. Max grabs the masks off the thieves, “David!?...Nick!?”. “I’m not even surprised”, said Max. David and Nick are their classmates and are really rude, snarky boys who hate Jack. “Why did you follow us all the way here, just to ambush us?”, Jack demands. “We just wanted to see what’s in the package”, they say in their defense. “Can we come with you, please?”, they ask Jack. Max and Jack go off to the side to think about what they should do. They come back with their minds made up,”okay, you can come with us”, they said. When Jack got a little better they headed for Silverstar together.
When they got there there was a middle-aged guy already waiting for them, the guy was dressed up in a suit with a bow tie and looked like a porter. “It better not be ruined”, he says. “ It's not”, Jack replies, “It better not be”, the guy answers back. He opens the package, looks inside, and starts taking out the item, while the four boys wait in anticipation. “A dress, that’s all, it was a dress!?”, they all say disappointed. “Yeah, this dress is for the president's five-year-old daughter”, says the guy, “and I’m here to pick it up for her or she’ll throw a huge
fit”.
