War Horse: Movie Analysis
You know about the WWI through book and movie, but that just the through the eyes of human, watch “War horse” and see the WWI through the eyes of the horse. Joey was a horse that live in in the 19th century, when the WWI happen, he was brought by a boy name Albert in Devon, when WWI begin, Joey was forced to leave Albert and go to war( as a horse). Albert was sad when he lose Joey, and he want to join the army with Joey but he was too young. 2 year later Albert joined the army to find Joey, but he only found out that the last owner die and Joey was capture at the enemy base. The movie is about Joey life through WWI and back with Albert when it was over.
Albert Narracott was a young boy in a poor farmer family in Denver. One day 1912, his father
Ted lead him to a village-fair and give hm money to buy somethings good. Albert don’t want anything but a beautiful horse with a write fur on the forehead and on the leg. He think his father will love it, but he was wrong, his father was angry that he spend all the money on a horse that too weak to flowing the field. His father want to kill Joey but he ask for a chance, he want to teach the horse to flowing the field. They tried so many time, they hurt they hand and wanted to stop, but how can Albert give up on Joey, after so many day Joey finally did it, Albert family was very happy, but happy doesn’t stay long. His father, one day, say that the land’s owner, mr Lyon, had remind him about the dept that he haven’t pay so long ago, Albert’s family was so desperate, they have to sell everythings but Joey. Two years after that, Albert’s family had nothing value but the WWI happen and they need horse at the battle field, and Ted sell Joey to pay all the dept to mr Lyon. Albert was angry and want to join the army with Joey but was too young, the general promise that two years later, when he older, he can join the army and take back Joey.
In the army, Joey show that he’s the fastest and strongest horse in the army and gain the trust of the general. The general ride Joey to the battlefield but it was a bait and Joey was capture. After a year Joey escape the enemy’s base with the other horse, and then he ran in to a friendly family in the enemy’s country with a girl live with her grandfather and she kept and feed Joey. After a year, that land got attack by another side and the little girl got kill and Joey go to the battlefield again. In a battle Joey got himself free and ran for it, but unfortunery he stuck in the iron fence. After the battle, two side are resting and they see Joey stuck and alive in the middle of the battlefield. Each person on each side go help him and use the penny to decide who will take it and America got it. When Albert join the army he fight and got hurt in the eye, but he heard they save a horse in a battle field and he thinks it Joey. After descripe Joey and explain, he claim Joey back.
