Was The Renaissance A Great Rebirth?

Renaissance: a renewal of life, vigor, interest, etc.; rebirth; revival. Renaissance, the great new idea that led to different kinds of painting and architecture. The changing of spiritual to humanism. But was Renaissance really a great rebirth? First, we must see when the Renaissance started. By most historians, the Renaissance began in 1300 in Europe and ended during the 1700s. We can say that Brunelleschi started the Architectural Renaissance or Albrecht Durer started German Renaissance. But in my opinion, no one specific started the Renaissance but came to the world by right timing and factors. And there were lots of reason why it came during the 1300s. Fewer people made wealthier families who can spend money on other things than they need. Another factor was migrations. Since around 1355, the plague had been forcing people to flee to Western Europe from Byzantium, one of the cities where the rat-borne disease started. It so happened that Byzantium was the seat of power, and naturally also of culture, of the Holy Roman Empire. So, among the refugees were a lot of people educated in Greek and Roman works, which they brought along manuscripts of those works. And of the idea that these people brought was humanism. And you can't say it is Renaissance without humanism. The westerners began thinking more for themselves than the eternity. The main ways in which humanism helped define the Italian renaissance is that it put the creative focus back on humanity, especially in the realm of painting and sculpture, as opposed to God and the Church. People now not only put god into their painting but humans too. Another great factor of Start of Renaissance was a trade. By the 1400s Florence and Venice were a big trade city of Italy. The trades with the Ottomans brought them massive amounts of money to the towns.
