India’s water crisis is predominantly a manmade problem. India’s climate is not particularly dry, nor is it lacking in rivers and groundwater. Extremely poor management, unclear laws, government corruption, and industrial and human waste have caused this water supply crunch.
By taking few steps like
• Do not use shower or bath tub .Use bucket instead.
• Use washing machines only when absolutely necessary.
• Rainwater harvesting has to be popularized across all villages.
• Have very short showers.
• Ensure taps do not drip.
• Verify that your home is leak-free, because many homes have hidden water leaks.
• Recycle washing water to the garden.
• Create an awareness of the need for water conservation among your children.
• Don't let water run while shaving or washing your face.
• There is no need to keep the water running while brushing your teeth. Just wet your brush and fill a glass for mouth rinsing.
• Make suggestions to your employer/employee/colleagues about ways to save water.
• Encourage plantation of Trees. GO GREEN.
There are many more ways around you to save water.
Whenever you waste water, just think about those millions of people who still struggle to save every drop of water for their survival.
There is urgent requirement to address the issue of water scarcity in entire world. If the conditions remain same, water will turn out to be the world’s most precious resource
