Some of us get stressed out before an examination. We get butterflies in the stomach and cannot concentrate. The good news is, all is not lost. There a few things that you can do to prepare for an examination. There is no magic formula to it though, and it cannot be achieved overnight. It requires hard work from you. First of all, you need to pay attention in class. Listen to what the teacher is saying in front and ask questions if you are unsure. You can even take down important notes to help you remember what has been taught. Besides that, you would need to do revision by your own. Do not wait until last minute. Set aside some time everyday to revise. Find place that is quiet and free from distraction. This can be your room or the library. Group study also helps. Gather a few of your friends and divide the topics among yourselves. Get each member to present on a certain topic and prepare notes for everyone. This way, you save time and you make studying more fun. At the same time, you also need some time to relax. Studying for long periods at time is not healthy. Go out and play some football or basketball with your friends. You can even jog around park. Make sure you eat properly as well. Get a balanced meal and drink plenty of water. Your mother would definitely not mind cooking some good, healthy food for you! Lastly, get enough sleep, especially the night before your examination. You would not want to wake up late on the day of your exam and you definitely would not want to fall asleep during your paper! A good night’s sleep will help you to focus better and recall what you have studied. If you follow all these steps, examinations will not be so scary to you anymore. All the best!
