The author tries to show the readers that the bare bones of all involved are revealed, unlikely couples are formed, and true strength comes from the stuff that makes life really matter: friendship and love (we all looked up). The book recommends itself for 14 and up, which I agree because 14 is the age where you start to hit puberty and really discover yourself. The characters in the book really help you relate to yourself. In a way, we each have a stereotype that we wish to disentangle ourselves from. The characters make lots of choices that had moral implications that the readers would most likely be able to relate to in terms of making the same mistakes. The plot really captivated me because the author put the book with a theme of reality. This really made me think of my high school experience and the typical stereotypes that are thrown out there.
We all looked up is a book I would recommend to teenagers who are struggling there high school year. It would really benefit the readers by showing them that people can change whether it's in a good way or bad way. The big issue in the book would of course not affect high schoolers now but the small issues of romance and challenges
