This is that category of book. This book should be a preeminent candidate for any canon of literature that is required reading in High School (maybe even earlier) Literature, Communications, Civics, English, and other associated disciplines.
I have had a noncomprehensive interaction with Feminist authors viz., Christine de Pisan, Mary Wollstonecraft, Olympe De Gouges, J.S. Mill, Emma Goldman, and Simone de Beauvoir; notwithstanding, each of these authors have left an ineradicable imprint on my psyche. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is no different.
I could proceed for hours about my personalized experiences with people who misconstrue or misrepresent feminism but, I think it would be simplified by making the following direct argument: Read this book! It will take you all of 30-45 minutes. The same amount of time it took to write this review; the same amount of time it would take you to explain why you are not a feminist; the same amount of time it would take you to watch an episode of your favorite T.V.
