“ What’s new and trendy?” The media portrays that you must have high priced clothing, nice jewelry, expensive new cars, and enormous mansions to be successful. Setting these high expectations only lead juveniles to wanting the same expensive things these people and celebrities have. Juveniles will start stealing in order to fulfill their materialistic dreams that the media leads them on should be like. The media see’s fame and fortune as a major foundation of being successful.

They started stealing other people’s possessions by opening parked cars on the street. After using the stolen money from the automobiles, it wasn’t enough for them.
They wanted more. Rebecca and Marc wanted and needed to look and feel like a celebrity. The media only made the Bling Ring act out more. Rebecca and Marc started going to houses to steal. They went to more than three celebrities houses to steal their possessions.
Not only was it just them two, but also three other girls who thought they were cool enough to brake into Paris Hiltons crib. They wanted to be flashy and dress fashionable just like
Marc and Rebecca. They weren’t broke to begin with. They were raised in good homes and family. The media just brained washed their minds to focus on materialistic success.
