Albert is a nine month old boy who was subject to emotional testing. He went through a series of pretesting and was eventually introduced to a white rat. Albert initially had no fear of the rat but every time he would reach out to touch it he heard the sound of a hammer hitting a steel bar. The tests eventually led to the following results: First they introduced the banging of the steel bar (unconditioned stimuli) causing fear (unconditioned response) in Albert. They then introduced a white rat to Albert who initially had no fear of the rat. Every time Albert reached out to touch the rat the loud banging was heard, which eventually resulted in Albert being afraid to touch the rat. Finally they introduced just the rat (conditioned stimulus) without the loud banging still caused fear (conditioned response) in Albert.…

There are many advantages and disadvantages when it comes to plea bargaining. Among the advantages the defendants could possibly receive a lighter sentence, they can end up with a lesser charge, and most importantly they move through the criminal justice system a lot faster than if they were to fight a case. As for disadvantages both the defendants and the victims would be affected by plea bargaining. The defendant might not be guilty however he/she knows not enough evidence exists to prove their innocence and so they accept the plea, thus accepting punishment this not deserved. Victims are affected by plea bargaining because they almost always feel cheated as though the accused did not get what he/she deserved and as though justice was not served.…

Is your request consistent with your employer’s organizational goals? A compensation component is not a benefit, but may refer to how compensation is calculated, as in the case of those paid on commission. I believe you are asking for a new benefit. Commuting reimbursement covers the employees cost of travel to and from work locations on a regular basis, outside of those times the employee is working. According to the Skinner model of operant conditioning humans learn behaviors based on a trial and error process whereby they remember what behaviors elicited positive, or pleasurable, responses and which elicited negative ones. He derived these theories from observing the behaviors of rats and pigeons isolated in what have come to be known as Skinner boxes. Inside the boxes, rats that had been deprived of food were presented with a lever that, when pushed, would drop a pellet of food into the cage. Of course, the rat wouldn't know this, and so the first time it hit the lever, it was a purely accidental, the result of what Skinner called random trial and error behavior. Eventually, however, the rat would "learn" that hitting the lever resulted in the appearance of food and it would continue doing so. Receiving the food, then, in the language of operant conditioning, is considered the reinforcer while hitting the lever becomes the operant, the way the organism operates on its environment.…
