For this particular e-business to run a successful global e-commerce business, they should ensure it follows the right balance of strong local marketing and effective operations. It’s probably pretty essential that retailers cater to local customer experience expectations, it is also critically important to abide by local laws and regulations because is important to understand the region first! Business transactions are sometimes handled differently in a foreign country. For example, in China, deals are often sealed with a handshake rather than lengthy contractual negotiations and formal request for proposal processes. Businesses also need to understand the government regulations and tax structures around e-commerce in the specific regions they are targeting well before they begin expansion. This business should plan its global strategy and expansion very carefully! They should determine which countries to expand in and when, as well as how they prioritize this based on their business objectives. For example, some e-businesses started aggressively expanding in Asia and other emerging markets before they fully understood the pros and cons of doing business in certain regions. Foreign expansion without careful analysis and planning can be a recipe for disaster.
